We are searching for an experienced and dedicated Chief Accountant, willing to join the team of a business advisory firm that provides quality accounting, tax, legal services to international companies on the Bulgarian market.


Key responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for the timely and accurate accounting process
• Organizing the day-to-day activities in the accounting
• Supervising the work of operational accountants
• Performing daily bookkeeping activities, VAT, VIES, Intrastat, bank statements etc.
• Payroll accounting
• Managing tax audits, VAT refunds etc.
• Preparing monthly and periodical management financial reports
• Preparing annual financial statements, analysis and forecasts, annual tax return
• Ongoing communication with clients, authorities in regard to on-going accounting or tax issues, as well as with financial institutions
• Advising clients on tax and accounting issues.

Qualified candidates will demonstrate:

• University degree in Accounting, Finance or similar
• 7 + years on a similar position
• Extensive knowledge of the Bulgarian accounting and tax legislation;
• Very good command of English language, German language would be a strong advantage;
• Advanced PC skills - MS Office, accounting software;
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as ability to work in a team and multitask and meet deadlines
• Skills in organization, goal achievement and management, excellent problem-solving skills.
